Reverend Sanitorium: Steward of the World

Rick Santorum laid out the foundation of what is fundamentally the group he represents with his remark equating President Obama with radical environmentalists.

Santorum said “”This idea that man is here to serve the earth, as opposed to husband it resources and being good stewards of the earth (and) I think that is a phony ideal.” This is on the heels of a recent quote  claiming the President subscribes to a “phony theology”(as reported on Bloomberg News).

These statements are well in line with traditional American Christian theology on one hand, while pandering to multinational corporations who seek to grab as much of the world’s wealth and consolidate it among themselves, and keep us perpetually at war with each other. Santorum’s statement is Republican. It means that we should deregulate men, just as we have the bankers and financiers who  have bilked the american public since John D. Rockefeller. It means we should allow Exxon to displace populations and pollute the environment for profit, the profit of SHAREHOLDERS. FUCKING SHAREHOLDERS! water, gas, coal, copper, gold and silver… all of the rights to the resources this planet has available are on the table for these people. Local populations are of little or no significance accept for the manpower they can provide. Well except at the company stores, banks, rental units and entertainment providers where the workers can put the money back into the company’s coffers.

A recalcitrant Alan Greenspan rejected the notion that bankers, market makers, men, could regulate themselves. But Santorum keeps the dream alive. But hey, that good old fashioned Puritanism that sent the Dutch to America where they could be free to practice their prejudice, that Calvinist way that usurps empirical observation because a phrase in the mythological oral history of Israel states that man has dominion of the earth… well, like a tarot reader, fortune teller, fortune cookie, it can be taken any way that meets your fancy, that saying ‘dominion of the earth.”

Do we have dominion over thunderstorms, tornadoes, hurricanes, flash floods, monsoons, earthquakes?  No? But we DO have insurance companies profiting from disaster, banks who need to give out fresh loans to those “unfortunate” people, but nonetheless people with good credit. “Welcome to Wells Fargo, Mr. Aristocrap. Have you started looking for a new home, or were you thinking of financing the rebuilding of your old home?”

“Not a Wells Fargo kinda guy with regards to the credit spectrum? well, there are payday loan shops on every corner on the internet. oh, did that a couple and the fiat currency attached to the passing of time siphoning your bank acct faster than you can replenished.

Doesn’t matter where you are on the social ladder, Reverend Sanctimonitorium has a plan for you that will ensure things will stay in tact for the people that count. you know, the romneys of the world, the one percent. and words of wonder, Snatchnatorum has publicly mentionede Romney as a possible VP.

I mean, I was wondering how this was going to play out. It just took a while to shake out so the media could start the misleading equation of American values as those of the Bible. They have no problem with lying to you, stealing from you, pull your lives from under you, kick you out of your homes, declare you criminals, seize your assets. All in the name of God, the Calvinist god that has given THEM dominion over the earth. and that means YOU!!!
